Belongs to the Pelargonium family and is known as Arbaroriza «Αρμπαρόριζα» in Greek. An easily grown plant with delicate lilac and pink flowers found in many courtyards and balconies in Attica, the Peloponese and the southern islands. It likes a temperate climate and is endangered by the frost. Its beautiful aroma makes it a favourite ingredient in the preparation of Greek spoon sweets, stuffed vegetables and fruit salads. As an essential oil it is used in aromatherapy and perfumary. It is believed to have destressing properties that ease anxiety and tension. We chose to include it in our tisanes because of its wonderful scent and flavour.
